Welham Architects are an award winning family run architectural practice located in the heart of Nottingham's historic and creative Lace Market.

We share a passion for delivering thoughtfully designed spaces for a diverse range of clients using our individual skill sets.

Jane Welham


Director + Architect



Jane founded Welham Architects whilst her children were in primary school. Her passion is for Arts and Crafts buildings, with a keen eye for resolving architectural details, her buildings have won numerous local and national awards for excellence in design.


To relax, Jane enjoys live Jazz and cooking with her boys. You will often find her with Hector the dog finding the cosy spot in any pub.

Clive Welham


Director + Architect



Clive met Jane at whilst studying architecture at University and the two have been inseparable ever since. Clive left the architectural practice where he was managing director to join Jane and fulfil a lifelong ambition to work together.


Alongside architecture, Clive's passion is for travel. His aim is to have as many 'once in a lifetime' holidays as he can. Ticked off the bucket lists so far is the Pyramids of Egypt, The Temples of Cambodia, The wilderness of both America and Australia, the roman ruins of Europe, and the distilleries of Scotland! He's currently planning a trip to Mexico...

Eddie Welham


Director + Interior Designer



Eddie has a Masters degree in Interior Architecture and Design and leads on the interior design of our projects. He has a humanist approach to architecture and involves himself in the strategic planning of buildings.


Outside of the office you will find him lecturing in Interior Architecture and Design at Nottingham Trent University or reading at one of his favourite bars somewhere in the city centre.

Robert Welham


Designer and 3D Visualiser



Robert studied Film and Television Design at Nottingham Trent University and graduated with a First Class Honours, where he specialised in producing digital and physical 3D architectural models.


Outside of office hours Robert is usually table top gaming with his friends or cooking a delicious meal inspired by recent travels.

Hector Welham


Human Resources



Hector joined the family in 2013 and has quickly become an essential member of the family team. He can be found ensuring snacks are distributed throughout the office and daily walks are undertaken.


Usually he is snoozing and dreaming about the squirrels who live in the large trees in the church yard opposite.
